Local musicians unite to support the American Red Cross
Summer benefit CD on sale June 20

TOLEDO, OHIO - MONDAY, JUNE 10, 2013 — Local musicians throughout Northwest Ohio are lending their voices to support the American Red Cross through the sale of an original benefit CD. "Red, White & You” features a variety of talented local artists and will be available for purchase at all Frisch’s Big Boy, Ralphie’s, and KeyBank locations in Northwest Ohio beginning Thursday, June 20. The cost of the CD is $10 and includes a $4 Frisch’s Big Boy/Ralphie’s coupon, making the final out-of-pocket cost just $6.

“Red, White, and You” is full of 23 fun summer hits - 12 that have never been commercially available before now. The roster of talented local artists include: Pat Dailey, goLab, Kyle White, Chrys Peterson, Matt Sayers, Nine Lives, The Sanderlings, Highbinder, Kerry Patrick Clark, Carmen Miller, Arctic Clam, Mike Adams, Eddie Boggs, Buck 69, Throw It To Erie, The Reese Dailey Band, Old State Line, The Bradberries, Jeff Stewart, and Milano. Toledo native and Disney sensation Alyson Stoner is also contributing a track to the benefit album along with Crystal Bowersox of American Idol fame who performs the song “Holy Toledo” as the bonus track.

“We’d like to thank everyone for their generous hard work and dedication to this project,” said Peggy Holewinski, regional development officer for the American Red Cross of Northwest Ohio, “We’re so happy with the list of songs. I couldn’t believe it when we heard Crystal Bowersox was offering up such a great hit!”

Proceeds from the CD benefit the programs and services of American Red Cross of Northwest Ohio. Serving 18 counties, the local Red Cross provides relief to those affected by disasters and empowers individuals to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies 24 hours a day. The compassionate care provided by the Red Cross is a gift to those affected by disasters and completely free of charge. In addition to disaster preparedness and response efforts, the Red Cross also provides support for local military families during emergencies; teaches lifesaving skills such as first aid, CPR and AED; and provides access to lifesaving blood services.
